While on Arno we visited a pretty incredible reef. You might say it was like an underwater fjord that you could pretty much wade out to the end of and that just dropped off for as far as the eye could see. For a guy like me who had never been snorkeling before this was [...]

Where do you even start?
Well we are back in the RMI capital of Majuro suffering from a little bit of shell shock, but all safe and sound none the less. Our experience on Arno was a thrill ride to say the least. If ever there was a need to have a crew document the making of the documentary it [...]

Last Day on Tarawa
It’s hard to believe but I am finally getting off this island! I have refrained from getting into the details of my extended layover at the risk of adding to what I initially saw as some extremely bad luck. I arrived here on the 7th anticipating catching a flight out of here on Nov. 12th. [...]
A Thank You from The Dispatch Team
A Quick Note from the Team…
We really appreciate you taking the time to follow our project. From the very limited time that we have spent here in the Pacific islands it is apparent that the situation here could not be any more serious. We look forward to continuing to post as many updates as possible [...]
Aloha Marshall Islands
GOOD TO GO……
The bags are packed and I’m as ready as I’ll ever be. I don’t think any of us know exactly what the next 4 weeks holds, but one thing is certain….it will be a bloody great adventure!

Rememberance Day on Tarawa
The Battle of Tarawa
I had some idea that there were some battles that took place in this area of the Pacific during WWII, but that was pretty much the extent of my knowledge. Apparently Tarawa was the setting for one of the major battles that happened between the US and the Japanese – I am [...]
A Local’s Watering Hole
This is my buddy T’s water well that is in his backyard.
I was surprised to find to out that they had fresh natural ground water on the island. Apparently the fresh water thankfully separates from the saltwater, floating on the surface. The locals skim the top water of these wells, to get fresh(er) drinking water. [...]
Some fresh images
As a result of being in Kiribati and focused on the challenged situation the nation is in, some of my previous post’s have carried with them a bit of a serious undertone. I wanted to upload some shots of the brighter side of life I’ve experienced here on the island in my few days here.
Enjoy.
And [...]
