"What do you do when your island home
is in the cross hairs of climate change
and faces forever being swallowed
by the tide of a rising ocean?"

Not too bad!

Not too bad…Pink Crocs

I think I have mentioned before that I have never really spent anytime in the tropics, much less on a tropical island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean – I consider myself a bit of a guinea pig on this trip.  This place is amazing! The lagoon that my hotel looks out into is a color of blue I have never seen before. The fact that I can stroll off the hotel restaurant’s patio and go for a swim, at a time of year when I usually would be counting down the days till Whistler opens – is a bit of a trip to say the least.

Much of my career has been based in action sports – mostly skiing and snowboarding. I have traveled a good amount but always in search of fresh snow, this is the first time that a project has led me to the beach. I think that I can get used to this.

PS my wife did everything in her power to get me to not buy these sweet shoes.
