This is a UN petition initiative aimed at boosting awareness and action to stop global warming. Interestingly enough the first profile is of President Mohamed Nasheed of the Maldives who is concerned for his nation, who like the Marshall Islands is under severe threat of being permanently overtaken by the rising tides – fueled by a warming globe.
